Among the ancient buildings we will visit the House of wonder (the palace of Sultan) The old Anglican church (the old slave market) The house where Freddy Mercury was born, Sultan Palace, The Portuguese old fort, Old market of fruits, vegetables and fishes, Countless shops to buy various goods (antiques, pictures, traditional clothes, valuable handcrafts est.)

Giant Tortoises

A half day trip to Prison Island, this island is called “CHANGUU ”by the locals and  means GIANT Tortoises . A 20min boat across the sea to visit theses amazing creatures.

Dolphins Spotting, Red Colobus Monkeys, Mangroves Lagoon

Swimming with dolphins is one of those magical ‘must do’ life experiences, and doing it in the seas of Zanzibar’s south coast adds to the allure. A pod of bottlenose dolphins regularly swims these waters, and sightings are generally good.   This adventure starts from the fishermen’s village of Kizimkazi. On return the adventure will continue at the entrance of the exotic native green Jozani forest reserve which lies between Chwaka bay and Uzi bay and it is the only remaining natural forest of Unguja and represents a very important refuge for the fauna of the island. Once the whole Island was covered in a rich tapestry of swamp forest, evergreen thicket and mangrove but now all that remains is Jozani Forest. Despite this fact Jozani still boasts many strange and wonderful animals residing in and below the canopy of old giants. Red Colobus monkeys a sub-species only found on this island, they can be seen amongst the branches, but keep your eyes open and you may be lucky enough to see Sunnis and chameleons.

Day 17: 20.03.23:  Flight back home or Johannesburg

Flights to Johannesburg are only at midnight on the Sunday night (02:30) so we have a full day and late check out to still relax or explore the island a bit more. We will arrive in Johannesburg at 07:00 on Monday 21st so you can catch your international flight home.
